Ultramarine

Ultramarine’s 1990s work is often celebrated for blending pastoral and folk-rock elements with dance music, but their final album of the decade, "A User's Guide", is frequently overlooked. This album, however, might be their finest, offering a deep exploration of techno and IDM influenced by Detroit, Berlin, and Sheffield, particularly Warp Records. The album took nearly two years to complete and has been remastered for its first vinyl reissue, complete with extensive liner notes from UK techno historian Matt Anniss, providing much-needed context for this hidden British techno gem.
