Phantom Orchestra
Raed Yassin's "Phantom Orchestra" project, a monumental work featuring 42 improviser musicians mostly from Berlin's experimental scene, is being released on Morphine Records. The project draws from over 1000 minutes of solo recordings, captured in fall 2021, and is distilled into a double LP with seven movements. Yassin, known for his work in various artistic fields and his dedication to improvisation, presents a remarkable collage of sounds, blending abstract consonance, sonic rhymes, and dynamic tensions. The piece showcases the diversity of Berlin's experimental community, highlighting Yassin's skillful ability to unify contrasting voices into a cohesive and immersive composition.
