Matthias

In 2017, Matthias founded his record label Superluminal, a name inspired by an astronomical phenomenon first noted in 1902 by Jacobus Kapteyn. He observed this in the material ejected from the nova GK Persei, which had erupted the year before, in 1901. Kapteyn’s findings were published in the German journal Astronomische Nachrichten, but they went largely unnoticed by English-speaking astronomers for many years. The phenomenon seems to move faster than the speed of light and might hold clues to some of the universe’s most baffling mysteries—mysteries that resonate with themes of mysticism and esoteric knowledge.
