Jeroen Search & Pushmann join forces for the second Sinxergy release. 'Awareness' is what happens when you reduce techno to its barest bones, perhaps as a result of austere wartime hardware rationing. These are maddeningly militant movers; 'Basic' says it all with its on-beat kick and off-beat hat and on-both-beats-claps, while a sort of subaquatic bloop soundscape undulates below deck, all conveying the inner workings of a deadly sonar vessel, perhaps. 'Rational', meanwhile, dons the strawman of a cold and calculating mathematician, focused on utility and utility alone, with tools ranging from open hi-hat to spiralling arp.
