Take Me To The Other Side

German singer, actress and model Nico worked between Berlin, Paris and Rome in her youth. She appeared in a number of films and after meeting Brian Jones recorded her first single, produced by Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham. She also used to hang out with Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol and The Velvet Underground, so was a key part of the art scene in those decades. Now, Modern Harmonic reissue her Drama Of Exlie album forty years after its initial release. It is a gloriously gloomy yet uplifting fusion of new wave, art rock and goth that pairs brilliant 80s production, guitars and her own vocals in perfect fashion.
